World Water Day

The event “World Water Day” was commemorated to create awareness on the theme, “Water for Peace” under the ongoing pilot project “Quantification and monitoring of irrigation water saving with best management practices viz-a-viz farmers practices in rice-wheat cropping system in Sangrur district of Punjab” which was funded by Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority, and organised by Centre for Water Technology and Management, PAU Ludhiana & Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sangrur in KVK-Seed Farm, Gaggarpur Road, Village Kheri, District Sangrur on 27.03.2024. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 250 farmers, farm women, and students. Some farmers were felicitated for taking up water saving practices in agriculture.
